JAB WE MET, which had two consecutive good weeks, had to live with lesser number of shows in it's third week due to the arrival of OSO and SAAWARIYA. However, it seems that it may just turn lucky in the fourth week with talks around reduced shows of SAAWARIYA in days to come.
In fact unconfirmed reports also indicate that a few multiplexes are also contemplating reducing SAAWARIYA shows from Tuesday itself and instead adding on JAB WE MET if Bhansali's mega project sees a massive drop from Monday. This would mean that after OM SHANTI OM, it may be back to JAB WE MET as the second choice for viewers in days to come.
So far, JAB WE MET has turned out to be a clean hit with 20 crores already in it's kitty after two weeks flat just from India. In fact the second week collections have been almost identical to that of the first week since minimal drop was observed.

Kareena ::"Im happy being myself"

Suddenly Kareena Kapoor is walking on sunshine.After playing the free-spririted Sardarni from Bhatinda in Jab We Met she's all set to do a full-on comedy in the Gol Maal sequel entitled Phir Gol Maal where she teams up with Ajay Devgan after the very serious Shakespearean tragedy Omkara And Kareena is mighty pleased about this leap from the grim to the grin. Though she doesn't say it, friends close to her feel she has been trying to curb her naturally ebullient personality for some years now, attempting to be the person that she was not. Now suddenly, say her friends, Kareena is herself again.Laughs Kareena joyously, "Although there're lots of comic moments in Jab We Met I've never done a full-on comedy before. Even when I worked with Priyadarshan (who's renowned for his comedies) I starred in his only serious film (Chup Chup Ke) in recent times.And when we did a comedy together (Hulchal) I was the only serious character around. I guess I didn't have the chance to have fun with my roles before Jab We Met. That's why I'm looking forward to Gol Maal Returns It's my chance to pull out all stops."The response to her performance in Imtiaz Ali's romantic comedy Jab We Met has so far been phenomenal. "The only other film I've felt so so good about in recent times is Omkara. The director Imtiaz Ali has brought out the playful extroverted side of me.While I was quiet subdued and withdrawn in Omkara, in Jab We Met I'm in my full element. This character is really close to my heart. I think from my heart and like to speak my mind openly. And what I liked about this role was the amount of fun we had while traveling and shooting."The fun quotient shows up in the film. "I think that enjoyment during shooting has shown up on screen. Everyone who has seen Jab We Met has been appreciative. "And now Kareena after doing seriously angst-filled roles in Fida and Omkara is all set to let her hair down, throw her feet up in the air and have fun on screen.Yes, Kareena is truly walking on sunshine. Tell her she looks different these days and she seems surprised."Do I look different? It's just that I've become thinner. And I'm happy being myself."

Movie review :Jab we met
JAB WE MET, helmed by Imtiaz Ali, takes a fresh look at love stories.Frankly, the story isn't new. , but director Imtiaz Ali's execution of the subject takes it to another level altogether.
Write your own movie review of Jab We MetAlso, for any love story to work wonders, it ought to have the germs to make the viewer jump with joy and participate in the goings-on. And the principal characters here -- Shahid and Kareena -- are so real, so natural, so believable and so winsome that the viewer gets absorbed into their world as minutes pass by. To sum up, JAB WE MET is as refreshing as an ice-cold watermelon juice in scorching heat. Imtiaz Ali's expert storytelling coupled with Shahid and Kareena's sparkling performances make this film a must-watch! Aditya [Shahid Kapur], an industrialist, is heartbroken as the girl he loves is getting married to someone else. Unable to muster up the courage to return home, he drifts out of the gathering and aimlessly boards a train, bounding away into the night. As destiny would have it, he meets Geet [Kareena Kapoor] -- a beautiful but annoyingly talkative girl who is leaving Mumbai to go her hometown -- Bhatinda. Later, she has plans of eloping with her boyfriend [Tarun Arora]. Geet irritates Aditya to the point of getting him to leave the train. As she tries to get him back on the train, she ends up missing it and the two find themselves stranded on a desolate station with no luggage or money. Begins the idyllic journey through the exuberant North Indian heartland in which this odd couple make their way through buses and taxis and camel-carts to reach her house in Punjab. On arrival, Geet's family mistakes the two for lovers. Before this misconception can be cleared, Geet escapes to her boyfriend in Manali. Aditya leaves with her, confirming the suspicion that they are lovers. In Manali, Aditya feels empowered to return to Mumbai and resurrect his ailing business. Life takes a positive turn and Aditya begins to do well. One day, Geet's family, who think that she is with him, confronts Aditya. He is shocked to learn that Geet has not returned home. He takes it upon himself to find her. He finally tracks her down in a Himalayan town and begins another journey to reach Bhatinda and flow into the colors and conceptions of a loud and happy North Indian family. How their separate journeys become one, forms the remainder of the story. Opposites attract -- that's the essence of this love story. The journey of two individuals who cross each other's path one night and develop a deep bond is skilfully and convincingly depicted at the very outset. The highpoint of JAB WE MET is its story. Although the story bears an uncanny resemblance to some films, it never gives you the feeling of déjà vu. The sequence of events in the first hour is akin to a roller coaster ride. The journey that the couple undertake to reach Bhatinda first and Manali later is mesmerizing. But the pace slackens in the second hour. Partly because the goings-on get dramatic and serious. Also, things seem to be stretched in this hour. The love story takes its own sweet time to reach its destination, when the fact remains that it could've [and should've] reached the finale earlier. Thankfully, the end is expertly executed and takes the graph of the film higher. Imtiaz Ali deserves brownie points for handling the subject with such maturity. The fun-laden scenes are truly funny and the emotional ones make you moist-eyed. Striking the right balance between light and heavy moments is akin to walking on a tight rope and Imtiaz handles the two extremes with remarkable ease. An accomplished storyteller undoubtedly! Pritam proves his versatility yet again. 'Poochho Na Poochho' and 'Tumse Hi' are seeped in melody, while 'Mauja Mauja' and 'Nagada' are racy, foot-tapping and easy on the lips. N. Nataraja Subramanian's cinematography does justice to Imtiaz's vision. The indoor look as well as the exteriors are dexterously captured by the lensman. The writing [Imtiaz Ali] is almost foolproof. Also, the ambience and setting in the Punjabi household are excellent. Both Shahid and Kareena vie for top honours. Shahid delivers his career-best performance in JAB WE MET. He goes for a complete transformation vis-à-vis his looks and attire to look the character he has chosen to portray and the understanding with which he enacts his part is worthy of lavish praises. Kareena is in top form as well. JAB WE MET is a turning point in her career [personally as well as professionally]. Fantabulous -- that's the right word to describe her work this time. The confidence with which she handles the contrasting characterization speaks volumes. This film should do for her what KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI did for Kajol. Pawan Malhotra is excellent as Kareena's uncle. His diction as also the body language is perfect. Dara Singh is good. Tarun Arora is awkward, but that gels with his role. On the whole, JAB WE MET is one of the finest [romantic] films to come out of Bollywood in 2007. At the box-office, it has the merits to work big time. Strongly recommended… Go with your family!

Hrithik to be Dad again

Hrithik's filmmaker dad Rakesh Roshan stated, "Right now we all are very excited and thrilled about it." Does he expect a granddaughter this time since Hrithik already has a son, Hrehaan? "Frankly, it does not matter. I am happy that I am going to be a granddad once again," he adds. The Krrish star became dad for the first time on March 28, 2006 and he had specially flown down from the middle of his Dhoom 2 shoot for two days from Rio De Janeiro. The Roshan father-son jodi is about to begin their Krrish sequel, Krrish 2 in February 2008 and sources close the Roshan family reveal, "Since it is their home production, the shooting schedule has been specially planned in a way that Hrithik gets to be there with Sussanne for the maximum possible time during the last few weeks of her expected pregnancy date.” The source adds, “Roshan Jr. didn't want to have a longer gap between two pregnancies for wife Sussanne as he believes that siblings should not have a wide age gap between them. The difference between his and elder sister Sunaina is two years and he wishes the same for his own kids as well.” The light eyed actor is going through a dream phase right now with the high level of popularity he has gained through two back to back super hits – Krrish and Dhoom 2. Also, his next release Jodhaa Akbar is one of the most awaited films for some time now. He has also recently been signed by Brillstein-Grey, Brad Pitt's management firm for over 20 years now. Numerous A-list Hollywood filmmakers too are offering him roles in their films.

Brillstein-Grey’, Brad Pitt's management of over 20 years, has now signed Hrithik Roshan. In the past, there have been major Motion Picture Studios in Hollywood that have set their eyes on Hrithik. In addition, numerous A-list filmmakers too have offered him roles in their high profile Hollywood films. Now ‘Brillstein-Grey Entertainment’, #1 Management Firm in World, has managed to gain Hrithik's attention. Moreover, Hrithik has finally said yes to Hollywood and is taking serious steps in the direction, which leads him to being the first mainstream Hindi cinema actor to be aiming at a higher platform. Hrithik's new International manager, Jai Khanna from Brillstein-Grey confirms, "We are thrilled to be working with such an international star. Hrithik has a strong, authentic, and cool personality. As an icon of masculinity and powerful character, he truly embodies the star quality of cinema's great leading men." Jai further comments on Hrithik's star power, "Audiences have repeatedly flocked to his films throughout India, Asia and a number of other countries. We are excited to now introduce Hrithik to the US, thus giving his unique talents a much larger platform." Closer home, Hrithik is looking forward to Jodhaa Akbar, which is all set to release on January 25. The film's promo has created quite a buzz amongst the audiences ever since it was screened across theatres, last Friday. Mounted on a huge canvas, this Ashutosh Gowarikar epic has music by A.R. Rahman and lyrics by Javed Akhtar. A UTV production, Jodhaa Akbar is now all set to be the first big release of 2008. The film is also special for Hrithik since it would be his first release after more than a year after the release of Krrish (June 2006) and Dhoom 2 (November 2006).

INTERVIEW
SHAHID-KAREENA SHOW::::::::::http://www.indiafm.com/broadband/video/Special-Features/gAhOPN72/3/Shahid-Kareena-On-Nach-Baliye-3.html
Shahid Kareena sizzle on NB
If anyone was expecting any fireworks when Shahid and Kareena came face to face on the sets of Nach Baliye, they were sorely disappointed. The ex lovers seemed more than comfortable in each other’s company as they spent time together on the NB sets promoting their upcoming film Jab We Met.
First to arrive was Kareena who spent hours waiting for Shahid to arrive on the sets by chatting with her best pal Amrita Arora who was also expected to perform on Kareena‘s latest hit number It’s Rocking. Once Shahid arrived, the two stars came face to face directly at the start of the actual filming of the upcoming episode. However, once the filming began we all got a taste of why these two are considered one of the better actors of the industry. The following opening act shows Shahid and Kareena introducing themselves as the hosts of the Saturday’s elimination episode of Nach Baliye:
Shahid: Hi this is Shahid Kapoor and those who are Hussain’s fan have to take a little break as I have come here to promote my film Jab We Met and with this sizzling and hot host one girl is standing who seems like foreigner. What is your name ma’m? Are you Indian by any chance? Kareena: Shahid you do this every time! Hi this is Kareena Kapoor and Happy Navrati to all of you from me. Shahid: Happy Navratri from both of us. I came to know that like my film the show is also filled with fun loving people like me and it has all the emotions and drama which exactly suits to Bebo. This film is very close to my heart as Imtiaz offered me this film after my non working 6 months at home. But jokes apart, I think after Ishq Vishq, this is the first film which can actually connect to youngsters and has situations of real life. Most importantly it is first time that we are playing lovers.
Kareena: Come on Shahid fun loving and you! In fact I am more fun loving than you. This is the first time I am playing a sikhni from Bhatinda. I am playing a very bubbly character and it was good to play such a character after playing serious characters in Omkara and Refugee. The character of Geet is very close to my heart. Shahid: This love story is like a combination of pizza and Pani Puri. Kareena: I am soft like pizza and Shahid is tikha like Pani Puri.
Shahid: No in fact I am like pizza as I can stretch myself better and Kareena is tikhi like Pani Puri. Shahid: Kareena is a very honest person so she will give better description of the iodis. Kareena: I think Pooja and Hanif are most graceful couple and Rakhiji I want to give you a standing ovation.
Shahid: My black hair has become brown because of dance and how can I give comments to the jodis as high command has already given them marks and comments. Kareena: But Shahid has prepared a speech for all of you which he has kept on table and going to read it now. Shahid: Yes I have prepared a speech and I think tum sab log meri band bajake hi chodoge. But I think Pooja and Hanif are the most good looking couple. I like the concept of Karan - Kavita’s dance. Kash and Krushna are fantastic. Aamir is my friend and I think he is a chupa rustam. Amita – Karan are experimenting with their performances which is good according to me. Alexx is having full potential to become an Indian hero now. Rakhi’s performance was smashing she just took away the show completely. And if this camaraderie wasn’t enough one of the best part of the episodes was when Vaibhavi, Ishaa and Kareena had to judge all the male contestants. So Shahid and David left the judges panel and told that “it is shameful for us to sit there so we will join female contestants at jodi box.” Vaibhavi said that she is not going to give 30 marks to any body as only her baliye deserves that. At this point Shahid quickly poked fun at Kareena by saying “See Kareena and Ishaa you should learn something from Vaibhavi.” Being the sikhni that she plays in Jab We Met, Kareena immediately responded “Shahid you really want me to give you marks on rate-o meter?” and Shahid conceding defeat quietly said “No I am very fine over here and you carry on your work.” Towards the end we had the real host of the show, Hussain back on the sets. He asked Shahid to rate Kareena as a person. And Shahid in his true chocolate boy image said “I only have two hands and that is why I am giving her 50 marks out 50.” And Kareena who wasn’t going to be left out of the equation said “But I think 50 are not enough for Shahid and not even 100.He is the best.” In the end both Kareena and Shahid announce the Jodi which is survived in the show and performed the song Mauja Mauja from their film. Now if only all ex lovers could be such good friends?

Rani & Aditya to be weded
![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjxacoEB-A6NuieJjf7gHVotxcUMLO2UVQO1nRAHtXDLuu5WNVfGCgKrUlUjBf9NYHFDq35L6C5riMpuODj9q7P9jHnZe43CHFu8cXA9XpxEOmiiejOkUprwKQA_nj2ikZpdxN1Z6sq9MDg/s320/16rani.jpg)
The big day is February 10. (So all Rani fans, if you had any other plans on this day, cancel. Now!) And the venue is Jodhpur's Umaid Bhawan palace.
The hiccup, however, is that Aditya-anything-but-attractive-Chopra apparently hasn't yet divorced his wife Payal. Nevertheless, the divorce is sure to come through before February.
Well, probably they are getting some new divorce 'on the double' kind of thing?! For whatever money can buy, Yash Raj can have!
Our insidersource also reveals that Rani is currently shooting for a yet untitled Yash Raj movie. Directed by Kunal Kohli and starring Amisha Patel and Saif Ali Khan (Oh oh, so if the wedding is called off, Saif's womanising gaze will shift from Kareena to Rani? Only time will tell.)
The shoot ends in December and after that, the only role Rani will be playing is of the 'Maharani'!
She will take a long long break before she returns to Bollywood as Mrs Chopra. Probably in some highly anticipated, comeback film.

Bebo-Shahid together again!
Days back it was revealed that Shahid Kapoor would be the special guest on Star TV's popular dance show, Nach Baliye. He was to also shake a leg to the remix of the hit number, Mauja Hi Mauja from the keenly awaited Jab We Met.The exciting update to this is that Shahid will now be joined on the show by none other than his allegedly estranged girlfriend and co-star, Kareena Kapoor. Says our source, "Shahid and Kareena will shoot together for Nach Baliye - 3 to promote Jab We Met. They will judge the performances."The shoot is scheduled to happen at Mumbai's Film City and Manish Malhotra will design Kareena's look for the programme.Kareena and Shahid last came face to face almost a fortnight back for a day to complete the patchwork of Jab We Met at Mumbai's Future Studio. From this it proves that there were just rumors about their split. just tell how can such a lovely couple will call break up .BUT LET'S see maybe it's for the publicity they r saying quits .so let's wait till the movie releases

INTERVIEW OF SHAHID & IMITIAZ ALI

Shahid Kapoor and Jab We Met Director Imtiaz Ali have an informal tete-a-tete which spells out camaraderie they both share with each other. They talk about everything from the fres script to the shoot and to the whacky yet very spontaneous Kareena and how their personal equation never got reflected or interfered with the film. Take a look! It's a Must Watch!
